Sam Querrey denied Rafael Nadal's quest to capture his first hard-court title since 2004.
The big-serving American dispatched Nadal, 6-3, 7-6 (3), to win the 500-level title.

Querrey saved all six break points he faced.
While Nadal didn't break, he did produce this running forehand flick passing shot.
It was two-time champion Nadal's first career loss in Acapulco as Querrey took down four Top 20 opponents en route to the title.
Nadal credited Querrey for a near-flawless performance.
"Querrey was better and the sport is simple, whoever plays better wins," Nadal said. "He played at a very high level, almost reaching perfection.
"I played under a lot of pressure because of his serve and baseline game. They were really fantastic and very aggressive. He left me with very few options, and the few I had he also played good. I have to congratulate him. I'm also very happy with my week and my game."
