Watch: Ball Dogs Bounding in Brazil

The Brasil Open brought loving bite from its new ball crew.

Six dogs from local Sao Paulo shelters visited the tournament scampering around the red clay serving as the doggie ball crew.

The tournament uses the dog day afternoon to raise awareness for pets without homes.

It's the perfect partnership of players' favorite loves: tennis and dogs.

Last year, every dog participating in the Brasil Open retriever media day was adopted.

Canine crews add a whole new element to ball exchanges as we saw in Brazil last year.

Working with local non-profit dog shelters, Project Second Chance and Dogs Without Owners the tournament hopes this year’s doggie ball crew will also find new homes.

If you’re thinking this isn’t the first time you’ve seen a tennis tail wagging ball crew, you’re right.

A few years back the ASB Classic in Auckland assigned furry friends Ted, Oscar and Super Teddy ball crew duties for a match between devoted dog lovers Venus Williams and Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Crazy happiness ensued.
