The World Team Tennis league has announced its schedule for 2014 following the dissolution of the Las Vegas Neon franchise. The regular season will run from July 6-23, with the finals played on Sunday, July 27.
The season opens the Sunday after the conclusion of Wimbledon with Boston hosting Austin and Philadelphia facing off against Springfield, last year's runner-up to the Washington Kastles, who have won three straight WTT titles, and four of the last five.
The league's two newest franchises are both relocated. The San Diego Aviators will feature Daniela Hantuchova while the Austin Aces are highlighted by native Andy Roddick.
Each team plays 14 matches: seven at home, and seven away. Active WTA and ATP players join the squads as their schedules allow during the US Open Series.
