Pete Sampras recently was drafted into the International Premier Tennis League, which promises several of the most lucrative paydays in the 14-time Grand Slam winner's lengthy career.
Perhaps feeling fine about his current finances, Sampras and wife Bridgette Wilson-Sampras recently purchased a 5,100-square foot estate in Bel-Air previously owned by Albert Brooks and Merv Griffin.
Described as a "modernist ski lodge," the home has, among other amenities, a rain forest of redwoods, a pool, a tennis court and a spa. The Samprases reportedly paid $5.997 million for the home, a bit of a "downgrade" from their previous place in Thousand Oaks, which checked in at 16,000 square feet and was sold for $13.56 million in 2013.
The Samprases' new neighbors include Leann Rimes and Mariah Carey.
