World No. 18 Kostyuk posed topless as part of a series of Ukrainian Olympic athletes published in Vogue Ukraine.
While some on social media praised the Ukrainian No. 1 as "stunning" in the photo shoot, others criticized the publication wondering why Kostyuk had to be half nude for the photo shoot honoring athletes.
The San Diego and Stuttgart finalist Kostyuk will play both singles and doubles at next month's Paris Olympics Games.
Kostyuk is set to partner Australian Open semifinalist Dayana Yastremska in doubles in Paris.
