Nole Returns to No.2
Some good news for Grand Slam king Novak Djokovic. He’s been spotted back on the practice courts at Wimbledon, just over two weeks after undergoing surgery to repair his right meniscus (June 5). He’s also back to No.2 in the rankings, after Carlos Alcaraz (who drops to No.3) failed to defend his title at Queen’s Club.
That means Djokovic will be the No.2 seed at Wimbledon, if he enters the draw.
Hubi Hits Seven
A trip to the Halle final propels Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz to a career-high of No.7 on Monday. Hurkacz fell to Jannik Sinner in Sunday’s final but still rose to within 185 points of Andrey Rublev, the current No.6.
Hurkacz is 24-13 lifetime on grass, and 15-6 on the surface since the start of 2022.
Paul Tops for Team USA
Tommy Paul claimed the title at Queen’s Club on Sunday, becoming the first American to do so in 14 years, and thus rises to become the top American man for the first time in his career. The 27-year-old, who toppled Lorenzo Musetti in Sunday’s final in London, leapfrogs Taylor Fritz, jumping from No.13 to No.12.

Korda Cracks Top-20
It’s been a while since Sebastian Korda has legit force on the ATP Tour. He was inside the Top-50 in May of 2021, and has had big moments – many of them, in fact – in the three years since, but injuries have always found a way to sap the American’s momentum.
Korda's ability to achieve consistent results on tour has left him on the outside of the Top-20 looking in, until today.

Zhang Hits 33
The rise of Chinese No.1 Zhang Zhizhen continues, as the 27-year-old Shanghai native rises nine spots on the heels of his first semifinal of the year at Halle. Zhang defeated Daniil Medvedev for his first Top-5 win on grass in Germany – he’s the highest-ranked man in Chinese tennis history.
Hijikata and Goffin Surge
Australia’s Rinky Hijikata pops 23 places to No.75thanks to a quarterfinal appearance at Queen’s (from qualifying). David Goffin, who won the Ilkley Challenger title on Sunday, jumps 27 to return to the Top-100 at No.82. The 33-year-old Belgian, a former World No. 7, had been out of the Top 100 since last October.
