Welcome back to World No.1 Daniil Medvedev.
Thanks to the fact that 2021 Roland-Garros points dropped on June 13, the Russian leapfrogs Novak Djokovic and begins his fourth week at the top of the ATP rankings.
Medvedev, who became the 27th ATP player to ever reach No.1 in February, has a 1,180 point lead over Djokovic and that should hold for a while, because there will not be an opportunity for Djokovic to add points until after Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev, who is out recovering from ankle surgery, rises to a career-high ranking of No.2, while Norway’s Casper Ruud makes his Top-5 debut at No.5.
It is an interesting week in the ATP rankings – for the first time since November 16, 2003, there will be no Big 3 presence inside the ATP’s Top-2.
Rafael Nadal comes in at No.4 this week – the Spaniard is just 225 points behind Djokovic at the moment.
Murray back in Top-50
Thanks to his runner-up performance at Stuttgart last week, Andy Murray is back inside the Top-50 for the first time since November of 2018. The Scot comes in at No.47 this week, up 21 spots from the previous week.
Murray is the biggest riser inside the Top-100.
Nick Kyrgios jumped 13 spots to No.65, while Brandon Nakashima (64 to 54) and Oscar Otte (61 to 51) eached jumped ten spots.
Here is a list of all the *new* career-high rankings inside the Top-100:
