Dominic Thiem has officially withdrawn from Wimbledon in 2022.
The Austrian, who started his comeback from wrist and hand injuries this spring, did not cite a medical reason for his withdrawal – he will be replaced by Spain’s Feliciano Lopez in the main draw.
Thiem is 0-6 on the season and has lost 11 consecutive matches in total. He last appeared at Roland-Garros, where he fell to Bolivia’s Hugo Dellien 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
Wimbledon qualifying begins on Monday June 20, with main draw action commencing on June 27.
