With just seven days to go until the 2015 Championships, we're going to start to take a daily look back at some classic Wimbledon moments. Today we reflect on the first of five Wimbledon titles for Venus Williams.
The Victory for Venus began an era of unprecedented domination for the Williams sisters at Wimbledon. Starting with this title either Serena or Venus has won 10 of the last 15 women's singles titles. They've also combined to win five doubles titles in that span, including their first in 2000.
