Second Serve

French Open junior finalist Taylor Harry Fritz notched his first career ATP win on Tuesday, defeating Pablo Carreno Busta to become the second 17-year-old to win on tour this season:

With a big serve and an aggressive game, the young American has something Sampras-esque going on with his game. He had to do double-duty on Tuesday and ended up being knocked out by Feliciano Lopez in straight sets later in the day.

Fritz’s mother, Kathy May, was a Top-10 WTA player. Though successful at a young age, he doesn’t want to let the pressure of becoming the next American star get to him. “I feel like [the pressure] has hurt a lot of people… so I try and just focus more on improving and not worry about the media and anything else.”
