Early last week, world No. 2 Li Na went topless to her millions of followers on Weibo in order to raise awareness for breast health.

According to this CCTV article, Li said in her own words to her fans:

“Please do not be surprised when you see the picture. What I want to tell you is to keep healthy and happy both in your sport and in your lives. Don’t forget to hold your health when you hold your dream, and please spend one minute in self-inspection on your breasts when you take a bath and that helps you to learn how to protect your beauty and health. When you have both a dream and health, you will be the most beautiful one! I’m beautiful because I make regular self-inspections!”

Li, a spokeswoman for the Pink Ribbon campaign, is covered up by a digital mosaic in the photos, but the message is still loud and clear: Early detection saves lives.
