There are entire websites dedicated to what outfit Maria Sharapova wears on a given day, where she's been seen dining after a match and when she's finally going to marry that guy who used to play for the Lakers.
While her fan base seems plenty obsessed with the day-to-day happenings of the No. 2 player in the world, Sharapova said she finds herself too boring to waste time joining the social network Twitter.
In an interview with Reuters during this week's French Open, Sharapova told reporters she has no interest in sharing the mundane details of her life with the world, 140 characters at a time.
"I think it's too much for me," Sharapova said. "I mean, I'm bored with myself on a daily basis, and I think if I'm bored, like eating a bowl of pasta, I don't need to let the world know that I'm at this restaurant eating a bowl of pasta."
True to her word, Sharapova's "Social Feeds" page on her official website (www.mariasharapova.com) was last updated on March 9, 2011.
