Under the banner of its “Future Tennis Aces” Longines has brought together 16 girls under the age of thirteen who have been nominated by their home tennis federations to play a tournament on the famous clay of Roland Garros. Held over two days, the event is designed to promote Longines’ core values of respect, fair play, and tolerance starting on the 8th June with the final being played on the morning of Saturday the 9th of June.
Steffi Graf - 2012 French OpenThe winner will be presented with a cup, while both finalists will receive a bursary of 2000USD each year until their 16th birthday to support them through the early part of their careers. The money should help to defer some of the considerable equipment costs of rising young tennis player. Even more exciting they will also get the opportunity to play an exhibition match with three time French Open champion Stefanie Graf on court No. 7.
 
Graf & AgassiIf you are around the French Open come along and support the Longines Future Tennis Aces it promises to be a keenly fought contest. With players coming from the Far East, America and Europe they have already amassed considerable experience on the Junior circuit. Lea Romain of France was the winner of the Nike Junior Tour under 12 National, while Katya Cornejo Marmolejo from Mexico has been a National Champion for the last two years.
