A banner year for Russia’s Diana Shnaider continues on the ATP Tour. The 20-year-old will bid for her third WTA title – and third on three surfaces – on Sunday in Budapest, after defeating Eva Lys 6-3, 6-3 on Saturday.

Shnaider, ranked at a career-high No.28, will face Aliaksandra Sasnovich for the title.

134-ranked Sasnovich defeated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 – she is bidding for her maiden WTA title.

Shnaider, a former NCAA standout at North Carolina State University, has won titles in Hua Hin (hard court) and Bad Homburg (grass) thus far in 2024. She is bidding to become the youngest player to win WTA singles titles on all three surfaces in a single year since Caroline Garcia in 2022.
