The 25-year-old Aussie injured his hip completing a 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 Wimbledon win over Arthur Fils earlier this month.
That injury forced a devastated de Minaur to pull out of The Championships giving Novak Djokovic a walkover into the semifinals.
Great Britain's Cameron Norrie also withdrew from the Olympics today.
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner pulled out of the Olympics last week with tonsillitis. World No. 4 Elena Rybakina, who withdrew due to a bout with acute bronchitis, and Holger Rune are among the notable names who aren't playing Paris.
