It's Osaka's second appearance as a swimsuit model this season following the debut of her swimsuit fashion line.
The Olympic Games begin this week in Tokyo and will mark Osaka's first tournament since Roland Garros where she scored a 6-4, 7-6(4) win over Patricia Maria Tig in the first round last month.
The world No. 2 withdrew from Roland Garros due to depression and personal issues. That came following her decision to opt out of mandatory post-match press conferences citing mental health issues, which prompted initial push-back from the Grand Slams before Osaka revealed she had battled bouts of anxiety and depression.
The 23-year-old Osaka made history in Melbourne by winning the Australian Open she became the first player since Monica Seles to win her first four Grand Slam finals. Osaka has posted a 14-3 record in 2021.
