Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty have joined the Mixed Doubles competition at the Tokyo Olympics. The pair of World No.1s join a star-studded 16-team draw that features nine players with Top-20 singles rankings.
Djokovic and Barty will join No 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas, No 7 Andrey Rublev, No 8 Iga Swiatek, No 11 Pablo Carreno Busta, No 15 Felix Auger-Aliassime, No 18 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and No 19 Maria Sakkari in the Mixed Doubles draw.
Djokovic will pair with Nina Stojanovic; Barty will play with John Peers. Elena Vesnina and Aslan Karatsev, this year’s Roland-Garros mixed runner-ups, are also in the draw, as are Bethanie Mattek-Sands, the 2016 Gold Medal winner in Mixed, who will play with Rajeev Ram.
