Authorities investigating the fatal car crash involving Venus Williams have found new evidence that shows that Williams may not be at fault. Video footage surfaced from a community surveillance camera which shows that the 37-year-old legally entered the intersection where the accident occurred. This contradicts with previous report of the June 9th crash.

In a statement Friday, Palm Beach Gardens Police Department released a statement saying they obtained video surveillance footage which shows Williams’ innocence.

In addition to their statement, police released a video of the crash.

Although this new evidence helps Williams, the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department stated that the investigation is still underway and a final determination of fault has not been made.
