Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

Rarely do we see a ‘tweener like this. Nick Kyrgios has a split second to react to this backhand stab volley from Vasek Pospisil during the first set of their Rogers Cup doubles tilt on Thursday, and somehow the Aussie gets his racquet head on the ball in the most unconventional of manners. Kyrgios’ ‘tweener wins the point and leaves his partner Jack Sock absolutely stunned (us too, this was a great play).

All sock can do is crumble to the court in amazement.

Pospisil’s reaction to the play is pretty awesome as well. He slumps to the net in disbelief.

Pospisil and Nester would take the win when Sock and Kyrgios retired in the second set, but Kyrgios gets hot shot honors without a doubt for this amazing play.
