Venus Williams has traveled extensively throughout her long career. Yet the former World No. 1 enjoyed giving fans a photographic tour of her latest tournament stop.
WTA: Serena Hits Rankings Milestone
Williams is the top seed at this week's TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup in Turkey's largest city. Ten years ago she was one of the biggest names on the roster when the event first kicked on in 2005.
To celebrate, Williams recreated an iconic photo on the city's famous Bosphorus Bridge that she took part in a decade ago.
Williams hit with Turkey's current No. 1 WTA player Cagla Buyukakcay and rising talent Ipek Soylu on the bridge on Monday. She then spoke at a pre-event press conference.
"It's been a long time since I've been back in Turkey and it's flown by. This tournament will be great preparation for the US Open," Williams said via the WTA.
After that, Williams took a stroll through the historic city and posted several photos on her social media accounts.
Williams is scheduled to play her first round match on Tuesday at the International tier level event.
