A calf injury has forced a hobbled Kei Nishikori out of Wimbledon.
The world No. 5 withdrew from The Championships prior to his second-round match against Santiago Giraldo with a left calf injury.

It is the same injury that compelled the U.S. Open finalist to retire from his Halle semifinal against Andreas Seppi, while trailing 1-4. Nishikori opened the year advancing to quarterfinals at the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
Wimbledon is Nishikori's least-successful Grand Slam: It is the only major where he has yet to reach the quarterfinals. He produced his best result at SW19 last year with a run to the fourth round.
