After beating Eugenie Bouchard to claim her second Wimbledon title, Petra Kvitova said she wanted keep a low profile.
"Since I got home I have done a couple of press conferences, but I have really tried to keep a low profile and just quietly get some rest and take it all in," she wrote in a blog for the WTA. "Of course one of the first things I did was to watch a replay of the final on TV - I still can't believe how well I played! - and then I just wanted to see my parents again and enjoy all the emotions."
Alas, meeting the president probably isn't the best way to do that! Kvitova had the eyes of her country upon her in a meeting with Czech president Milos Zeman earlier this week. According to Czech news agency Ceske Noviny, the president wanted to meet with Kvitova following controversial comments about her citizenship and residence by a member of the country's parliament.

Zeman also hosted Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, who reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon before bowing out to Kvitova, and Klara Koukalova.
