Ana Ivanovic announced on Wednesday that she and coach Nemanja Kontic mutually agreed to part ways.
Kontic and Ivanovic joined forces in July of 2013, following her split with Nigel Sears. Under his guidance, the Serbian has had her best season on the WTA Tour since winning Roland Garros in 2008. She claimed three WTA titles this year, reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open by defeating Serena Williams. In addition, she's closing in on a return to the top 10 for the first time in five years.

Ivanovic released a statement on her official website confirming the news.
"Ana and Nemanja Kontic have ended their coaching partnership by mutual agreement," the statement said. "Kontic’s contract expired after Wimbledon and, after amicable discussions, the pair decided not to renew it."
Ivanovic has had a long history of switching coaches throughout her career, having previously worked with notable names including David Taylor, Craig Kardon, Sven Groeneveld, Heinz Günthardt and Antonio van Grichen prior to Sears and Kontic. She also spent time under the guidance of the Adidas Player Development program.
According to the same statement, Ivanovic plans announce a new coach in the coming weeks.
