Grigor Dimitrov survived an inspired effort from Marcos Baghdatis on Day 5, edging past the lovable Cypriot in five sets, 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 to set up a popcorn fourth-round encounter with Andy Murray in the round of 16.

Perhaps no single point personifies the frenetic energy of this match better than this rollicking point that sees Baghdatis chase down volleys and overheads off the racquet of the Bulgarian until he simply cannot muster the energy to run down Dimitrov’s last tantalizing drop shot.

Dimitrov would later say that he enjoyed the pro-Baghdatis sentiment of the crowd on Court 3, but he added that he enjoyed quieting them in the end.

“Marcos has always been a favorite guy out here,” Dimitrov said. “Of course, the crowd was cheering that's in the game, and you just got to embrace it. I like it. I mean, I like it when the atmosphere is like that. Actually fills me up with a positive thoughts. At the same, time it's nice to prove someone wrong.”
