Andy Murray started his 2015 season in impressive form on Friday as he walloped Rafael Nadal, 6-2, 6-0 in an exhibition in Abu Dhabi, but the news wasn’t all good for the two-time Grand Slam champion.

Murray seems to have picked up a shoulder niggle for the first time in his career, and he wasn’t exactly sure on how he would feel on Saturday as he prepared to face Novak Djokovic in the Abu Dhabi final.
"It's sore and I've never had that issue before, I'll see how I wake up," said the 27 year-old Scot, when asked about the stiffness in his left shoulder. Could Murray, who made an incredible late-season surge last autumn to reach the ATP World Tour Finals, be suffering from fatigue related to the brevity of the offseason? Hard to say. Murray told reporters that he will have a precautionary scan of the shoulder prior to his final with Djokovic and play it by ear from there.
If the Scot is forced to the sidelines, he would join Marin Cilic and Juan Martin del Potro on the list of big-name players who are suffering from injuries prior to the official start of the season, which begins next Monday.
