Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia is playing inspired tennis Down Under, and it's partly thanks to her new choice of racquet, as she recently made the switch to a Dunlop Biomimetic M4.0.

The M4.0 features a 100-square-inch head size and a 16x19 string pattern, which generates more spin and packs a punch on Cibulkovas groundstrokes. And it's certainly been evident in her performance at the Australian Open, where she has plowed through the field and lost only one set en route to reaching the final there.

“The new racquet gives me more power and spin, but I can also hit my spots more consistently than ever before, so the control is great, too,” Cibulkova said of her new frame.

Previously, the Slovakian had not made it past the fourth round in Melbourne, but now, armed with her new M4.0, the No. 20 seed has taken out No. 16 Carla Suarez Navarro, No. 3 Maria Sharapova, No. 11 Simona Halep and No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska all the way to the final. Up next, she'll face No. 4 Li Na for the title.

Given how assertively she has been hitting the ball and dictating points to produce near flawless tennis, Cibulkova has a legitimate shot at pulling off another upset to win the trophy.

"I'm feeling the ball really well, hitting good in practice," she said. "Even I was feeling good. With the matches, you know, I start to get more confident. I just continue to do what I do well. Playing the finals, that's something beautiful. It's like a dream. So I will go just out there and play my best, try to do my best."
