Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev are coming to the city by the bay. The pair have signed on to compete at this year’s Laver Cup, to be held at the Chase Center in San Francisco, from September 19-21.
Laver Cup San Francisco already features World No.3 Carlos Alcaraz on Team Europe’s six-player roster, while Shelton teams with fellow American and World No.4 Taylor Fritz, last year’s US Open runner up, for Team World.
Eight more names will be added over the course of the year.
Andre Agassi and Yannik Noah will feature as Captains for Team World and Team Europe respectively this year, in the event’s eighth year since its inception.
Team Europe has won five of seven Laver Cups, including last year’s 13-11 triumph in Berlin.
