John Isner is going back to the beach, while Kevin Anderson will take a break to rest his ailing elbow.

The American No. 1 has received a wild card into the Delray Beach Open, which begins next Monday.

A three-time tournament semifinalist, Isner will play on Tuesday, February 19th in the afternoon session.

The world No. 9 will make his seventh Delray Beach appearance. Isner owns a 10-6 career record at the event and was previously the top seed in 2012 and 2013.

Isner will be looking to launch his season in the sunshine state again. Last spring, Isner won the biggest title of his career at the Miami Open Masters 1000.

This year, Isner has played six tie break sets, losing five of them, including falling in four tie break sets to compatriot Reilly Opelka in the Australian Open opening round.

While Isner returns to Delray Beach, Florida resident Anderson is out.

The fifth-ranked Anderson withdrew with an elbow injury.

"I am really disappointed to have to withdraw from Delray this year with an elbow injury which has been troubling me since Australia," Anderson said. "I love playing in front of home fans, friends and family so this is a sore one to miss. I wish you all a great week and hope to be back next year."

Former US Open and Delray Beach Open champion Juan Martin del Potro is scheduled to make his 2019 debut in Delray Beach joining Isner, Milos Raonic, Nick Kyrgios, reigning champion Frances Tiafoe, Ivo Karlovic, Feliciano Lopez, Andreas Seppi, Steve Johnson, Tennys Sandgren, Bernard Tomic, Mackenzie McDonald, Michael Mmoh, Taylor Fritz and Opelka.
