Rafael Nadal has committed to play the Queen’s Club Championships in London as his kick-off to the 2018 grass court season. Nadal was slated to play the event last year but pulled out on doctor’s orders, citing fatigue after claiming his tenth Roland Garros title. Each time that Nadal has won Wimbledon (2008, 2010) he has played Queen’s Club in the lead-up.

“It’s the tenth anniversary of my victory there in 2008,” Nadal said in a video posted by the tournament. “so it’s a great memory—winning there and two weeks later winning Wimbledon is an unforgettable year, so I’m very excited to be back.”
The event takes place from June 18-24.
