Fabio Fognini ended Argentina’s Davis Cup reign and endeared himself to Argentina’s biggest fan.
Fognini’s rousing comeback from a two-set deficit to defeat Guido Pella and clinch Italy’s 3-2 conquest of defending Davis Cup champion Argentina was so impressive, super fan Diego Maradona paid his respect after the four hour, 15-minute triumph.

Italy will travel to Belgium for the Davis Cup quarterfinals, April 7-9th. The winner will play either Australia or the USA for a spot in the Davis Cup final.
If Fabio needs a practice partner for that tie, he may want to hit with wife Flavia Pennetta, who is pregnant with the couple's first child.
