And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for… A POLITE HANDSHAKE!

After Nick Kyrgios retired from his match with Stan Wawrinka on Friday in Dubai, the two exchanged in a civil handshake. Full credit goes to Wawrinka, who played a focused match the whole way and clearly is just as interested in putting “SledgeGate” behind him as the rest of us.

Also, full credit to Kyrgios, who took to Twitter to apologize for retiring and even wished Wawrinka luck in Saturday’s final.

Nothing will ever change what happened last season (if you need to be caught up, go here), but it’s nice to see that both players have moved on. It’s also nice to see that Kyrgios is focusing more on being a good sport rather than a bad sport these days.

P.S. This post is officially dedicated to those who watched the match on SkySports, and weren’t able to see the handshake.
