The world No. 61 defeated Denisa Allertova, 7-6 (0), 7-5, today in Doha to reach the Qatar Total Open round of 16.

It was Bouchard's ninth win of the season. To put that into perspective, it took Bouchard until Cincinnati last August to score her ninth win of the 2015 season.
Still, the 2014 Wimbledon finalist is not "expecting any miracles" as she pushes toward a Top 20 return.

The Canadian wild card is 2-0 lifetime against her next opponent, Saisai Zheng. The 73rd-ranked Zheng surprised top-seeded Angelique Kerber, 7-5, 6-1, earlier today.
