According to the Swiss publication Le Matin, the injury that caused Roger Federer to have knee surgery this week occurred when the 34-year-old was spending time with his daughters in a park the day after his defeat at the Australian Open to Novak Djokovic.


Federer underwent surgery this week in Switzerland and then announced to the world that he’d be missing upcoming events in Rotterdam and Dubai. Doctors believe that the surgery usually requires a month of rehab, so it is possible that Federer will be ready to go at Indian Wells this March.
