All good things must come to an end. Sam Querrey halted Juan Martin del Potro's inspired comeback with a 7-5, 7-5 conquest in the Delray Beach Open semifinals.
Querrey hit 10 aces and did not face a break point in an 80-minute victory. The 61st-ranked Querrey won 24 of 26 points played on his serve in the second set snapping del Potro's eight-match winning streak in Delray Beach.
Querrey will face Rajeev Ram in an all-American final. Ram did not face a break point dispatching fourth-seeded Grigor Dimitrov, 6-4, 6-3, in the day's first semifinal.
The 89th-ranked Ram is playing his first final since he defeated Ivo Karlovic to win Newport last July.
