Pained by a heel issue and seeking some rest and recovery time, Garbine Muguruza's status for Doha sounds doubtful.
Following her straight-sets loss to Elina Svitolina in Dubai, Muguruza said she hasn't made a final decision on Doha, but suggested she won't play if she's not fully fit.

World No. 1 Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have both pulled out of Doha.
"I don't know yet, but let's see how I feel. If I'm not 100 percent, I don't think it's necessary," Muguruza told the media in Dubai. "So we'll see these couple of days."
Plantar fasciitis has bothered the Wimbledon finalist leaving her feeling unprepared on court.
"I think I'm not really ready to compete. I need to work a little bit more," Muguruza said. "My shots, my fitness. So we'll see.
"I have had a lot of physical problems, sometimes the heel; well, before my plantar fascia was hurting. I think I just need to start from zero again and kind of forget these couple of tournaments, I guess."
Simona Halep, who has postponed sinus surgery, said after her Dubai loss to Ana Ivanovic that she plans to play Doha.
