The Australian Open ended last month, but Australian tennis will take center stage in the coming months.
Australia will host the United States in the Fed Cup World Group Playoffs set for April 16-17th.

The Fed Cup playoff will be contested a little more than a month after the Australian Davis Cup team takes on the United States on the grass of Kooyong, March 4-6th.
The International Tennis Federation today announced the draws for the Fed Cup World Group and World Group II playoffs. The Australia-United States tie pits two of the most successful Fed Cup nations in history.
The U.S. has won a record 17 Fed Cup championships; Australia is third on the all-time list with seven Fed Cup championships.
Romania, which fell to defending-champion Czech Republic, 3-2 last weekend, will host Germany in the World Group Playoffs. Belarus will travel to Russia, which suffered a shocking loss to The Netherlands last weekend. Italy, the 2013 Fed Cup champion, will travel to Spain.
The winning nations in the World Group Playoff will advance to the 2017 Fed Cup World Group.

The World Group Playoffs will be staged the same weekend as the Fed Cup semifinals.
Switzerland will host nine-time champion Czech Republic and The Netherlands will travel to France for the World Group semifinals. The winners will face off in the November 12-13th final.
