Roger Federer posted his schedule for the months up to and through Wimbledon, with one notable omission: Miami. The two-time champion at the event announced he’d be skipping Miami for the second time in the last three years. He was a quarterfinalist last year at the event.
Below is Federer’s Facebook message, which lists his plans for the first half of 2015:
The announcement also puts to rest the rumor that Federer might be playing this year’s inaugural Istanbul Open. Federer also omits Davis Cup from the schedule. The defending champion Swiss team is set to face Belgium in Belgium in early March.
Federer’s next appearance will be at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in Dubai, which begin on February 23. Federer is a six-time champion at the event.
