Iga Swiatek is the highest-paid female in the world for 2023, and the fourth woman to claim the top spot on Forbes’ annual list since its inception in 2008. Swiatek, who earned $23.9 million this year, is one of nine tennis players in the top 10.
Nine of the top 10 and 12 of the top 20 come from tennis, with Golf and soccer each having two athletes represented in this year’s top 20. Badminton, basketball, gymnastics and freestyle skiing round out the list with one apiece.
Four-time Slam champion joins Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Naomi Osaka as one of four woman to rank at the top of the list. The Pole’s off court portfolio was worth $14 million and includes deals with Visa, On Shoes and apparel, Oshee sports drinks and information technology company Infosys.
Coco Gauff, Emma Raducanu and Naomi Osaka, ranked third through fifth on the list, each topped Swiatek in endorsement income, netting $15 million apiece. Below is the top 10 on Forbes’ list, with total income listed.
