Coco Gauff became a US Open champion in 2023 and, according to Sportico, the 19-year-old American also out-earned all other female athletes.

The teen wunderkind topped Sportico’s list of highest-paid female athletes for the first time with an estimated annual income of $22.7 million.


Gauff earned $6.7 million in prize money this year, and added $16 million in endorsement earnings that comes from contracts with her apparel and racquet companies, New Balance and Head, as well as other mega deals with with the likes of Barilla pasta, Bose, UPS and Rolex.

Women’s tennis dominated the list of 20 high-powered female athletes, with nine of the 20 personalities on the list coming from the WTA Tour.

Emma Raducanu ($16.2 million), Naomi Osaka ($15 million), Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula ranked fourth through eighth on the list, respectively.

Rounding out the list were former US Open runner-up Leylah Fernandez and Ons Jabeur.
