Karolina Muchova has always had that shotmaker’s panache.

Don’t believe us? Check out the behind the back beauty that the Czech pulled off during her victory over American Katie Volynets on Court 6.

Muchova’s name is synonymous with style on a tennis court. She’s widely recognized as one of the more creative shotmakers on tour. She’s also – clearly – a magician.

Muchova improved to 13-6 at the US Open with her 6-3, 7-5 win over Volynets. The former semiofinalist will face Naomi Osaka in the second round.

The pair have split their two previous matchups, with Osaka defeating Muchova in three sets in the second round of her title run in 2020.
