43-year-old legend Venus Williams will make her 10th career appearance at the Western and Southern Open later this month.

The current World No.524, and holder of 49 career titles has been awarded a wild card for the Aug. 12-20 event.

With the addition of Williams, the women’s field features 12 Grand Slam major winners and five current or former world WTA No. 1s.

Williams, a former semifinalist at Cincinnati, played three grass court events this summer, going 1-3 with a win over Camila Giorgi. Williams will be in action next week at the National Bank Open in Montreal. The seven-time Grand Slam champion is expected to take a wild card into this year’s US Open, where she is a two-time champion.
