Andy Murray has stepped out of Cincinnati hoping to ensure his health for New York.
The former world No. 1 withdrew from this week's Western & Southern Open nursing a strained abdominal he sustained in Toronto last week.

US Open semifinalist Karen Khachanov also withdrew from Cincinnati today due to an ongoing back injury.
Two-time Olympic gold-medal champion Murray is aiming to play the season's final Grand Slam in Flushing Meadows.
The 2012 US Open champion Murray had hoped to secure a seed for the hard-court major, however he's currently ranked No. 36 and will not be seeded unless several players ranked ahead of him withdraw.
US Open starts on August 28th.
