Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune are about to dominate the men’s game, says Ivan Ljubicic, former World No.3 and coach of Roger Federer.

The Croat, speaking exclusively to Simon Cambers and Tennis Majors, says that in five years, he sees the three young stars at the top of the ATP rankings.

“Five years from now, most likely Alcaraz, Sinner and Rune will be one, two and three, with Medvedev probably still around making their lives tough,” he said. “Maybe some guys will surprise us. But this is what it feels at the moment.”

Ljubicic, who won 10 titles and recorded 429 ATP wins during his career, says that 22-year-old Sinner still needs time to develop into a spot at the top of the game.

“Now he’s making the step that he was supposed to do last year, he’s doing it this year, so he’s coming,” he said of the current World No.8, who reached his first major semifinal at Wimbledon earlier this summer. “There’s no question, I don’t know, is it this year, is it next year, is it in two or three years’ time. But his determination is there, so he’s going to keep coming up.”
