Caroline Garcia is back inside the ATP’s Top-20 after a brilliant run to the Cincinnati title.
The Lyon, France native, a former World No.4, returns to the Top-20 for the first time in over three years as she rises from 35 to 18 in the WTA’s rankings for August 22, 2022.
That’s Garcia’s highest ranking since October of 18. She has won 26 of 30 matches since June, and will head to the US Open as a seed and a bona fide title contender.
The Frenchwoman is joined by Madison Keys in the Top-20 this week. Keys, who reached the semifinals at Cincinnati, rises four spots from 24 to take her place in the Top-20 for the first time since March of 2021.
Petra Kvitova, up seven spots from 28 to 21 after reaching the final in Cincinnati, is also on the rise and considered a potential threat to make a run at the US Open, which will begin main draw play on Monday August 29.
