Nick Kyrgios knows how to celebrate exciting tennis.
In the aftermath of his 6-2, 6-3, win over ninth-seeded David Goffin in Cincinnati today, Kyrgios revealed he spent some time last week riding the buzz of Denis Shapovalov's inspired run to the Montreal semifinals while drinking some beers.

"Obviously, Denis is going to have a massive future," Kyrgios told Tennis Channel's Leif Shiras. "I was having a couple of beers watching him. I think he’s box office. He’s gonna be great for the game."
The 18-year-old Shapovalov is the youngest player to ever reach a Masters 1000 semifinal, and at No.143 in the world he is the lowest-ranked player to reach the final four at a Masters 1000 event since 2003.
Alexander Zverev saved match point beating Richard Gasquet then defeated Kyrgios, Kevin Anderson, Shapovalov and Roger Federer in the final to collect his second Masters 1000 championship of the year.
Kyrgios, who is Zverev's buddy, said the success of the 20-year-old German isn't inspiring since they've known each other so long.
"Not really," Kyrgios said when asked if he was inspired. "I love seeing those guys do well. I guess I’m kind of washed up now.
"Zverev's doing great. He’s so professional I’ve known him since juniors. He’s been a mate of mine for a while."
Are these three players and Dominic Thiem the future of the men's game?
"Zverev is the most professional of the group," Tennis Channel analyst Paul Annacone told Tennis Now. "Kyrgios is the most talented. Shapovalov just made a great run last week. He's only 18 so there's a lot to be determined for him, but he has the skill set.
"Right now, Kyrgios is the most talented. Zverev is the closest to the top and Thiem is the second closest to the top of that group. To me, those are the biggest young stars now. On the American side, you have Jack Sock who is just below that level. So those would be my four (picks) of the younger guys."
