Jelena Jankovic Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction in Montreal

"Murphy's Law" says that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, and that was nearly true for Jelena Jankovic in Montreal today. In the middle of the first set in her second round match against Sloane Stephens, Jankovic suffered from what Janet Jackson made famous: a wardrobe malfunction.

Her bra strap broke.

After alerting chair umpire Emanuel Joseph to her predictament, Jankovic enlisted the help of a woman in the crowd to perform an emergency repair job until the next changeover.

Twitter, for its part, reacted accordingly.

At the next changeover, Jankovic had the WTA trainer out with the proper supplies to treat...her bra.

It all turned out okay in the end for Jankovic, who beat Stephens 6-7(7), 6-4, 7-6(4) in just over three hours to advance to the third round. The match itself was nearly as epic as Jankovic's bra incident, but the affable Serb took it all in stride.
