Roger Federer has joined Instagram, and for his first picture he posted this doozy of himself with the greatest basketball player of all time (sorry LeBron), Michael Jordan. Apparently Federer has basketball on the brain, as last week in Cincinnati much buzz was generated about Jordan doing his best LeBron James impression when the hang time he got on a leaping smash was compared to the King’s.
Federer’s social media skills have been superb, particularly on Twitter, where he’s always having fun and – even better – making fun of himself.
Let’s hope his foray into Instagram will be equally awesome. Federer will face Marinko Matosevic of Australia in the first night session match on Day 2 at the US Open. Rumor has it that “His Airness” Michael Jordan might be in attendance.
