Currently ranked No. 518 in the world, American Ryan Sweeting would never be getting this much ink (or digital bits) in a publication during the US Open Series except for one minor thing.
He was spotted going to lunch with Kaley Cuoco, star of "The Big Bang Theory" last week.
Cuoco is a longtime friend of doubles' stars Bob and Mike Bryan, and grew up taking tennis lessons from the pair's mother Kathy Bryan.
The 26-year-old Sweeting has played exactly one main draw ATP match this year - a first-round loss to Denis Istomin in San Jose in February. The rest of his schedule has been limited to Challengers and qualifying rounds.
He peaked at No. 64 in 2011 and has one career title - winning Houston in 2011.
Cuoco is 27 years old and is most famous for her role as Penny on CBS's "The Big Bang Theory." She's had no shortage of famous boyfriends, having previously dated co-star Johnny Galecki and briefly dating "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavil earlier in 2013.
While it's not fair to compare a mere mortal to Superman, it is worth noting that Sweeting's 2013 earnings total $23,901 while Cavil's superhero flick has grossed $644.3 million worldwide.
