Davidovich Fokina out of Barcelona

After contesting his first ATP final in Monte-Carlo, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina needs a break.

Davidovich Fokina, who broke serve nine times knocking off world No. 1 Novak Djokovic en route to the Monte-Carlo final, has withdrawn from this week's Barcelona Open due to fatigue.

Lucky loser Manuel Guinard replaces Davidovich Fokina in the draw.

The 22-year-old Spaniard, who rose to a career-high rank of No. 27 off his magical Monte-Carlo run, said his performance in the Principality has given him a fresh perspective on the sport.

"I will be focused like this week every point, every game," Davidovich Fokina told the media in Monte-Carlo. "Doesn't matter who is it. I will enjoy every moment now.

"Doesn't matter if I lose or if I win. You know, I'm like so happy with myself what I am doing and just to keeping in that line."
