Boris Becker is coming to the big screen.
A movie about the young Becker's rise to Grand Slam champion will begin shooting in his native Germany later this month, German publication Bild reports.
Sinner: I'm Not Here for Making Finals
The feature film will focus on Becker's breakthrough when he defeated Kevin Curren to capture the 1985 Wimbledon crown at the age of 17 years, seven months.
Becker arrived at SW19 ranked No. 20 but was unseeded in the days of 16 seeds at Grand Slams. The explosive Germany became the first unseeded champion in Wimbledon history and the first German man to rule The Championships.
Twenty-two year-old actor Bruno Alexander will portray Hall of Famer Becker in the movie.
